How to Float the river on a paddleboard - Rentals text 480.201.9520. We're now in Queen Creek!

PADDLEBOARD RENTALS for the SALT RIVER- We are in Queen Creek 45 min from Salt River

Water Users- You'll have to walk down a dirt hill to get in here. This location is below Saguaro Lale Ranch, you can't launch from SLR without a permit.

  • Blue Point Recreation Area (Stop 2): We like to start here. The right side of the bridge has more parking. We start on the left because you don't have to walk as far! Paddleboards and gear get heavy! There's a great hike along the river- 3 miles to Goldfield Ovens. Look it up on AllTrails, great hike for out of town visitors.
  • Goldfield Ranch Recreational Area: There will be sign- EXIT HERE! This is for Tubers! If you're taking the bus- exit here. Paddleboarders and kayakers can keep floating.
  • Coon Bluff Recreation Area: People camp here in the winter, you'll see lots of fisherman and photoshoots going on here. The exit is difficult, we just float by.
  • Phon D Sutton Recreation Area: It takes about 2.5 hours to paddle from Bridge to Phon D Sutton. This exit is tricky on the weekends, people are everywhere! You're going to have to yell...EXCUSE ME! (they won't move) Exit here anyway, otherwise you're stuck another hour on the river. There's a hill to climb and you'll be back at your drop off car!
  • Granite Reef (Last stop before Dam): You can paddle from Phon D Sutton to Granite Reef ALL YEAR! You could also start at Granite Reef and paddle around if you only have one car. The parking lot is small, you can park down the road if its full. Make sure you PULL OFFF THE ROAD...or the sheriff will give you a ticket!
  • How To Navigate Getting Back To Your Car: Yep, this is probably the most important thing to consider. If you park at stop #1 and float, kayak, or paddle board down then you need to plan how to get back to your car.
  • Uber: Not going to happen sorry. The cell service is spotty and it’s very unlikely you will get one to come out to you.
  • Hitch a ride: Theres a good chance someone is going to lose their keys or forget them in the wrong car. You'll need to rely on strangers to help you.
  • Plan for 2 cars: This is what you should be planning for. Have one car parked at the end stop, where you plan to get out at and the other at the beginning. Keep your keys on your body or with the car!   THINK THIS THROUGH, the river is not a CIRCLE.
